How to reach Vietnam

Step-by-step guide to reach here hassle-free.

By Air

The most popular way to reach Vietnam is by air. Major international airports include Noi Bai (Hanoi), Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh City) and Da Nang International. Direct flights operate from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru on VietJet, IndiGo, Vietnam Airlines and Air India Express.

By Train

International trains run from Nanning and Beijing (China) into Hanoi — an adventurous, scenic option for travellers already in the region. Inside Vietnam, the Reunification Express links Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City via Hue, Da Nang and Nha Trang in 30+ hours of slow, classic-Asia travel.

By Road

Vietnam shares land borders with China, Laos and Cambodia. Buses operate from Phnom Penh, Vientiane and Kunming into Vietnamese cities. Best suited for overland backpackers; budget travellers and motorbike enthusiasts also use these routes for scenic mountain crossings.

By Sea

Some Southeast Asia cruises stop at Vietnamese ports — typically Halong Bay, Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh City. A luxurious, leisurely arrival suited to travellers combining Vietnam with a broader regional cruise itinerary.
